New York City Fireman's Benefit Concert at the Turtle
Bay Pub
 |
This was a benefit for a fallen firefighter
with my Uncle's firefighter band, Eugene Ho. I had a blast and
enjoyed
being part of the tight-knit brethren of the NYC
Fire Department.
It was a show I'll never forget. Thanks Bobby for inviting me down,
and keep up with the good tunes!

The rumor
is true, great food! What a nice place to enjoy an evening with
friends and family. This place is definitely on my list of places
I'd like to go back to. I want to thank the owners and especially
Mary Ann for the wonderful hospitality. |

The Sad Cafe
|
Once
again the Sad Cafe welcomed us to play at this awesome
venue. If you've never been there before you should check it out when you
get a chance. The staff here is awesome! We were hoping
that our new bass player Ry could join us for this event but unfortunately
he had tons of homework to do. Until next time! Check out the pictures.

Curly's Coffee
|
Curly's
is unique in its own way, there is a stage and the floor, no
seating, and not much else. Not quite what we expected from a
coffee house. Besides the bands playing that night there were
four other people in
attendance;
the staff
of
two,
my photographer and
her dad.

The Lodge at Colby-Sawyer College
|
What an
awesome venue! The Lodge at Colby Sawyer is an old barn resurrected
into this beautiful open concept lodge complete with kitchen and
a huge fireplace. The students at Colby Sawyer were awesome!

Thanks
to drummer Ryan Vezina we are competing in the New
Hampshire Youth Battle of the Bands! If you recall Ryan
and I first met at the Henniker Halloween Bash when he came
to my rescue after dropping a pick while performing. Franky
will also be joining us. We need our fans support on this
one so if you need a ride let us know, we'll find a way to
get you there!

This
is a huge event, winning this Regional Event will put
us into
the state wide competition on March 20th. This
event is sponsored by the Youth
Network Opposing Tobacco (YNOT).

Cascade Coffee House
|
Back
again on Valentines day and an Art Show at the Studio next door called
Thru
The Artist's Eye. Frank and I showed up at 6PM and played 4 -
50 minute sets, who would have ever thought we had that much material.
Thanks to Karen and Adrienne for allowing us the flexibility to try
out some new music in a casual and comfortable atmosphere.

McIntyre Ski Area
|
Ryan,
Franky and I played a majority of the day in the lodge of the McIntyre
Ski and Snow board Area during the Big Air Competition. This was
a good chance for us to practice our existing material and try
out
some new stuff together. The session was recorded in hopes that
we get some usable material. We received a number of donations
from
listeners and a number of my CD's were sold as well. The staff
liked our sound and presentation and welcomed us back to perform
sometime
in the near future. Keep an eye out for a return date in the Upcoming
Events page.

Borders Concord
|
Despite
the weather we made it to Borders in Concord. The staff at Borders
is great and the event was a success. There were a number of people
in the cafe including some of my moms co-workers. My demo CD is available
at Borders in the Local Music section for anyone that wanted to attend
but missed the show.

|
Much
to my surprise my uncle Steve and his family made it into town for
the Cascade Coffee House show. The show went great and Frank played
awesome as always! I want to thank Karen Macamere for advertising
for us and for putting my CD's up for sale at the Cascade Coffee
House. Thank you Karen!

Sled Pub at Pats Peak
|
The Sled
Pub at Pat's Peak remains a popular place for locals and familiar
faces. We made a last minute decision to play local Friday night
because the Peak, as its referred to by the locals, is only 20 minutes
from home. It was well worth it!

Harlow’s Pub
|
They
tell me Harlow’s is a happening place so I’ve made plans to go
check out the open mic this coming Wednesday and see for myself.
Take a
look at their web site and you’ll see they have a pretty funky
menu with all kinds of good offerings. Come enjoy the music and
grab a
bite to eat while your at it.

Santos Dumont Coffee House
|
Last
night I played another 15-minute set at the Santos-Dumont Cafe, an
interesting ice cream and coffee parlor in Milford, NH. The crowd
really enjoyed my set, and I thought I played very well. Pictures
from the show will be posted in the Photo section soon.

Stagecoach Inn
|
Tonight
I gave a 15-minute set at the Stagecoach Inn located in Groton, Mass.
The players there were incredible and hilarious at times, to say
the least. I had a great night, and I drew some fans to the open
mic just to see me play for fifteen minutes. The set I played was
as follows: Tip Top, Old Man, All Along the Watchtower, and Yo Quiero.
What a night!

Franky
and I played a great set tonight at the Sad Cafe. The environment
there was really cool. Pictures were taken of the show, which will
be posted in the Photo section
soon. We got asked to come back to the Cafe in the near future. Details
of that date will be posted in the Upcoming
Events section.

Weare Town Hall
|
Wow!
What an incredible night! There was a great turn-out at my
band's debut at the Weare Town Hall; about
60 people showed up. The sound was excellent and we
had many people working with us and setting up
and packing up to make it all possible. I want to thank everyone
in the
band, Frank and Ryan, especially my father for putting up with
me during all this, and most importantly to everyone who came!
We are
already planning on having another show at the Weare Town
Hall within the next month or so, so keep your eyes and ears open!
Check out the pictures.

Cascade Coffee House
|
I
played two gigs today. The first was at a private party in Weare on
River Road from about 3PM-6PM. I played in between sets of another
band twice, and then I was off to the other gig up north at the
Cascade Coffee House. That night I met possibly one of the
best guitarist I've had the
chance of acquaintance with. His name is Frank Schaub,
and I decided to have him play with me for some shows. We played
for two hours together, and we saw things eye-to-eye. You'll definitely
be hearing more of us in the future!

Simon Center
|
Wow!
What an excellent night! I played at the Annual Benefit Concert for
the Henniker-San Ramon Sister Project in the Simon Center at NEC,
and it turned out to be one of the most memorable gigs I've had.
I was given a guitar, sold some CD's ($1 on every CD sale went towards
the benefit), and met some great people supporting a great cause.
I opened the night off with some of my originals like Tip
Top and Old Man, then closed with All Along the Watchtower;
a Dave cover. Dean Stevens, the featured performer for the night,
was phenomenal, I suggest you go and see him perform. I had a blast
and I look forward to attending the benefit for next year.

Granite
Rocks Studio
|
I've
just finished recording my first demo CD at Granite
Rocks Studios today! The engineer at the studio
was a great guy to work with and had wonderful insight to improving
myself. I had an excellent day and I hope you guys enjoy the finished
product! You can hear the mp3's of the recording here and
photos from the session can be found here.

Henniker Community Center
|
Tonight
I played to help raise money for a Community Center in Henniker;
a safe hang-out for teens. The show went great and a lot of money
was raised! There was a great turn-out of fans, not only mine but
fans for Model 15 and Vinyl Sunrise, who also played tonight. Photos
from the event can be found here.
